Congrats to Paige Alms for her Win at Peahi and Make sure to Watch the Titans of Mavericks
A huge congratulations to COR Surf Team Rider Paige Alms for her dominant performance at Peʻahi.
Paige put on an impressive display of skill and determination, managing steep drops and challenging conditions while battling gale-force winds throughout the event.
“That was definitely the Peʻahi Challenge,” said Alms. “The wind threw a whole new factor into what I’m used to out there.”
The past few years have been remarkable for Paige. She earned the Billabong XXL Big Wave Award for Best Women’s Ride after catching a mind-blowing wave at her home break, Jaws (Peʻahi). She was also nominated for an ESPY Award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete and became the subject of the documentary “The Wave I Ride: Paige Alms’ Story.”
The film, which premiered at the Women’s Surf Film Festival in New York City, highlights the dedication, perseverance, and work ethic required to compete at the forefront of women’s big-wave surfing.
Paige has also been traveling the globe in search of world-class waves. She recently returned from an incredible trip to the Marshall Islands, where she scored deep barrels and uncrowded lineups in some of the Pacific’s most pristine surf conditions.
Stay tuned for an upcoming video feature from that unforgettable adventure.
From everyone at COR Surf, congratulations again to Paige on another outstanding achievement. We’re proud to have her representing the COR Surf family and look forward to watching her continue to push the limits of women’s big-wave surfing.
