I am interested in the swim parka and although I have all about how it is versatile and can be used many ways, I would predominantly be using immediately after aqua aerobics. I have noticed references made to ‘water resistant’ and water proof. I need to understand that if I get out of the pool and put my parka on and then drive home, will it be waterproof and therefore protect my car upholstery from getting wet. I have the read the care instructions and that is pretty much how I treat all my swim wear when it comes to drying them. I dry them inside out and either inside or in the shade. Is the fabric or ability for it to retain its waterproof feature affected when being used after chlorinated pool water exposure. It would only be directly affected for very short periods of time because I live within 4 blocks of the pool and go straight home and disrobe and removed my costumes – hence exposure time is minimal.
